Simple Statement of Truth: When one is truly moved upon by the spirit, it will lead him to action.
Reference: Acts 2:37-38
37 Now when they heard this, they were pricked in their heart, and said unto Peter and to the rest of the apostles, Men and brethren, what shall we do?
38 Then Peter said unto them, Repent, and be baptized every one of you in the name of Jesus Christ for the remission of sins, and ye shall receive the gift of the Holy Ghost.
This means that when we feel the spirit and recognize it, we will tend to act upon the feeling. In the scripture it happend to be the first principles of the gospel. I think that this is often tough to always act upon the prompting of the spirit. Sometimes we might not be prepared to receive the spirit or we are not listening to the spirit and so we cannot act upon what is trying to be told to us. I know that if we are striving to always be in tuned with the spirit we will know exactly what we need to do, and how to do it.

I really liked your S.S. of Principle. It just reminded me of a principle I teach my missionaries in the MTC. The spirit leads to action and that acion is a measurment of faith. "Faith without works is dead". So the more we act by the promptings of the spirit the more our faith grows...the more faith we have... we recieve a larger portion of the spirit...then more faith and so on. It is a wonderful "snowball reaction".
I think this is important to remember- that we are moved to action. I think this desire to act is another testament of receiving something by the Holy Ghost.
I like this idea because it gives me comfort in knowing that the Spirit can help me when making decisions in my life because it leads us to action.
I think that one of the more difficult things that I struggled with when it comes to the HG is knowing when it is a prompting or when it is just simply yourself thinking things. But as we know, if it is good it is of the spirit and should be acted upon.
I think it's definitely difficult to act upon promptings of the Spirit - I always second-guess myself about what are my own worries or thoughts and what are inspirations from the Spirit. I think this is a good reminder that through the power of the Holy Ghost, we are led to action, and we have to be tuned in to the Spirit so we might act on what we feel.
