Nothing can Stop God's Work from Progressing
Simple Statement of Principle: Nothing can stop God’s work from progressing.
Reference: Acts chapter 5
17 ¶ Then the high priest rose up, and all they that were with him, (which is the sect of the Sadducees,) and were filled with indignation,
18 And laid their hands on the apostles, and put them in the common prison.
19 But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth, and said,
20 Go, stand and speak in the temple to the people all the words of this life.
Even though it may have seemed all was lost because the apostles were put in prison, God never abandons his disciples. Just like in our lives it may sometimes seem we are losing in the battle against the adversary, in the end God will always triumph. Nothing can stop God’s work from progressing. I take comfort in knowing as long as I am fighting for the right team I will always be in good hands.
This idea reminds me of one of my favorite scriptures found in Alma chapter 30.
60 And thus we see the end of him who perverteth the ways of the Lord; and thus we see that the devil will not support his children at the last day, but doth speedily drag them down to hell.
This helps us see that Satan does not support his followers in the end but our Heavenly Father always will.

I liked this post a ton. I love the scripture in Alma you quoted where it reads "...the devil will not support his children at the last day..." It's interesting to me how at times it may seem that it's easier to follow the devil, but with an eternal perspective we come to understand this scripture. We see that although it may be harder to follow Christ sometimes, He will always be there for us to help. Satan on the other hand does not care about us nor our progression.
I think it is intereresting how this type of attitude carried overand help the apostles during times of difficulty like in verses 40-42 of the same chapter where they were beaten and told never to preach of Christ again but they rejoiced because they knew they were on the Lords side and would triumph in the end.
