One Can Make All the Difference
Romans 5:19 For as by one man’s disobedience many were made sinners, so by the obedience of one shall many be made righteous.
Because we cannot escape the influence we will have on others it is important we strive to be a positive influence. A quote I found that discusses the impact of our influence on others is
"...home and family influence is much more significant than that exercised by peer groups or by programmed participation. In fact, the influence of the home, whether it be positive or negative, is overwhelming.” (Regional Representatives’ seminar, 1 April 1983.)
I believe this quote to be true and think it is important to remember we influence our homes and have a huge impact of whether our homes are a positive or negative environment.

I think it is sad when we hear stories about someone who has stayed away from investigating the church because of something a member might of said or did. I like what you said- although we cannot escape the influence we will have on others it is important to strive to be a positive influence. This thought makes me think of a quote by Eleanor Roosevelt, "No one can make you feel inferior without your consent." Although this has to do with the other person, we should "strive to be a positive influence", intending our actions to uplift.
I really like that scripture and its so true. One person really can make such a big difference. You dont need to be super smart or wealthy to make a difference in the world you just have to be willing to serve in the Lords way. Elder Nelson cam to my mission and told us that he used to be a regular kid just like us once but by making simple changes he has become such a powerful messanger of the Lord.
This is definitely an important point: As humans, we're all drawn together by this common experience and this has positive and negative consequences. We need to always be mindful that we're lifting others up and being good examples.
