What are you taking home? 10-February-2008 Romans

What did you remember the most from class? What thoughts did the spirit teach you that you felt applied to you! That way people who missed can see what we did! What did you learn from Roman's respond to this post with your comment! Thanks!

I know that grace works! Brethren and Sisters thank you for your comments and the spirit you bring to class! I learn so much from you! I needed your help tonight I hadn't had the time needed to feel completely prepared. However, I had done my best effort and the Lord made up the rest through grace! I felt the spirit and strengthened for being there! Thank you!

I felt even more strongly tonight our need to prepare for the sacrament each week and other covenants that we make. Sanctification through the spirit is a gradual process that enables us to become holy like our Father. I also was impressed with our discussion of the eternal laws of justice and mercy. They work in harmony with our works to bring us redemption from our fallen state.

One thing that stood out to me from Institute Tuesday night was Romans 8:31. It says, "If God be for us, who can be against us?"
I really liked this verse because I think it helps put our lives in perspective. God is on our side and wants us to succeed and if we could just always remember that we would be all the more successful.

Something else I took away from Institute was I really liked Brother Boyce's advice to share with our spouse how we came to realize Heavenly Father is our Father and that He loves us. I think it is important we take the time to have spiritual conversations with our spouse because it helps bring us closer together as we share these personal experiences.
